Effie was my first attempt at scratchbuilding a Gn15 steam locomotive. Its a model of Sir Arthur Heywoods loco first 15" gauge locomotive. The Chassis was a Hornby "Percy" from their Thomas the tank Engine range. its almost entirely constructed of styrene sheet. The boiler comes from a section of household plumbing piping. The tender is entirely conjectural as there are no photograps of Effie with her tender. It was based around a Sidelines wagon chassis.
